Carly is Monterra Airedales' foundation bitch. She came to us from Harringtons Airedales in Olympia, Washington and is a granddaughter of our first show Airedale, Monty. She is a lovely combination of what the D'Aire and Blackjack lines have to offer. Carly  turned 11 years old on December  6, 2004, and in February of 2005 she participated with other dogs and their owners from the Flathead Kennel Club in a presentation for kindergarten through 8th grade students.  She gave an obedience demonstration (happily!) and also participated in a demonstration of conformation competition, where she was pronounced the winner!

During her quest for her Am. Ch. title, Carly was owner handled to her first major and all of her single points, including Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex for a 4 pt. major, at the last Pacific Northwest Airedale Terrier Club of Seattle summer Specialty in August of 1995. Carly finished her quest for her American Championship in November 1996 (at the same show in Colorado where he grandfather, Monty, had finished his US championship quest in 1991!), with Brenda Combs.  Carly acquired her Canadian Championship in style, all owner-handled, with numerous breed wins and in a short specials career the weekend she finished her Canadian Championship she was awarded 2 Group 2nds, earning her enough points to place as the #4 Airedale in Canada in 1996.

Carly gave us two beautiful litters and was a wonderful mother. We kept and finished a champion from each of her litters.... Stevie from her first litter and Patsy from her second.

She is still the boss around the house, working very hard at keeping all her kids, grandkid (Tuesday) and great-granddaughter (Brady) in line.
